Eliz and Steve

Okay, here are more pictures as I promised from vacay.

Standing in daddy's hands. I love this picture.
We went hiking up Camel back mountain where we were engaged 12 years ago. Or was it 13? This was on our 10th anniversary on May 9th so it was pretty cool to go back there and have Olivia with us. It has been a long time since we were there. We didn't go all the way up this time. It is a really nice hike and lots of people run it for exercise. It is really steep with huge boulders to climb.

We had a great little picnic in the very shelter were Steve proposed. And we brought cupcakes to celebrate. It was also to celebrate Olivia's 21 month birthday. She lurves cupcakes.
Well, she lurves the frosting on cupcakes. I tend to get and make only the white cupcakes thinking clean up will not be so traumatic for me.
Here is the rock I believe where Steve did the proposing way back when. . . on his knee. I cried then. But what is with my bootie in this picture? That white skirt or something . . . it is sticking out a mile! I should photo shop that but I won't.

All done. Heading back down. Horsey style.

It was such nice weather. We really enjoyed the break from the unusually cool and damp spring in Seattle.

More pool baby with her daddy.

Olivia and I wearing our sunglasses on our heads b/c we are that cool.

Olivia walking the balance beam again.
My cutie patootie and another apple.
We visited McCormick Ranch (I believe) where they have a replic train for the kiddies and a museum and a few antique cars you can tour through. The also have a pretty antique carousel we rode on.

Here we are on the choo choo train.
Olivia making friends. It was a nice playground with big sail shaped tarps over head, but it was still a hot day. My little baby's cheeks are flushed.
That is the carousel in the background.

Choo choo video.

A little pre-carousel video.

We went on vacation to Phoenix in May to find a little sun and get in the pool with my little pool baby. I think these pictures are the first day walking to the pool at our hotel. Olivia loves to walk on the curbs like a balance beam like she learned in gymnastics class. She is very good at the balance beam.

I will post what I can tonight from the trip, and lucky you I have tons more to post so will get to that over the next couple of days in another post. Stay tuned! :-)

Her skin is so fair, I slather her with sunblock before we go out.

And I make her wear her sun hat which is also sun block and her little pool shoes to protect her feet. She didn't seem to mind and had fun anyway.

We met this little girl at the pool. We all spent some time in the hot tub and turns out Olivia likes the hot tub better than the pool. The pool water temps were pretty darn icy.

They are enjoying the rock collection by the sidewalk. This is the first time I have seen Olivia play with another child. Before this it was more of what they call parallel play.

I also was so happy that Olivia slept through the night every night while on vacation. That was a first! Usually she would find herself in a strange place and get upset and keep waking up all night long, every night. It made traveling with her hard. But not this time. It was a mini breakthrough and what a relief.

Here are some pictures of my little hot tub baby enjoying an apple poolside. She has to have her own apple and not sliced or cut. She is a very good sharer though and gives her mommy and daddy lots of bites of her apples.

This video clip is Olivia being silly in the pool. She is saying her name which sounds more like Olivia with a "y" instead on an "L". And she skips the "v" for now. She has been doing this thing where she gets silly when the camera is on pretty much every time, darn it! I wonder where she gets that from?

Olivia's first popsicle. We froze some apple juice. She really enjoyed this one, but didn't want another ever again! I think by the time she got to the end her lips were frozen too and that did it for her. We'll try again back in Seattle when the weather gets warm.
I love how she points her finger. She tends to do this when she is concentrating or enthralled.
Eeek . . . freeze point!
Hmmm . . . maybe a little more, let me just touch it with this pointer finger I have handy.
Yeah, mommy it's cold, duh!
And a little live footage of the popsicle incident. She really did eat the whole thing though.
