We went to a birthday party for one of the babies in my mom's group. Caitlyn, Nadica's girl turned one about 2 weeks after Olivia. She had a blast b/c there was so many other little ones running around and oh yeah, the balloons! And believe it or not , it was not the first birthday party she was invited to, but the first one I forgot my camera!!! (sorry Robyn!)

Behind one of our local restaurants on the water front, the city and the restaurant rebuilt the parking lot into a park including this great sand box/pit. Olivia and I went one morning and had the place to ourselves, which is unusual. We saw lots of seagulls, and boats and adults walking by for exercise who had to stop and coo at my little one. She loves it when people talk to her! Sometimes she says "hey!" and points to them until they look at her.

For Olivia's 12 month well child visit, the doctor was running really late. And the exam room was sweltering! What gives? All the AC was out in the hall so we opened up the door and let the little one roam to keep the peace. She was so happy to visit with others, and they were very happy to see such a cute, smiley one year old!

Birthday party continued. This it all the pics I will putting up tonight. I get back to it tomorrow hopefully! I think I have about 14 more pics to go! Not bad.



This big stuffed toy doggy is one of Olivia's favorite presents. It is from her Dada and this is her playing with it, more like wrestling with it the next day.

Colton, Olivia's 4 year cousin, and Olivia really hit it off at her party! The singing duck puppet was a hit too.

More of Olivia and Colton. Olivia just loved being with her cousins. It was fun to watch her watch them. She was amazed and smitten with them the whole time.

And believe it or not Olivia didn't dive into the cake! She waited patiently for me to daintly put some in her mouth. She is sooooo cute! We didn't get a ton of pics of cake eating nor of the cake and candle and I wish we had gotten some of the Happy Birthday song. Olivia just loved it all and took it all in stride.

And here are some pics from Olivia's birthday party. She could hang out at the doorway and just goes back and forth for hours, practicing stepping up and down.

I took this picture of Olivia's leg in the bath after her 12 month well visit with the pediatrician. The larger pinker spot is the reaction to those shots. The smaller browner spot is from her 6 month shot set. I should have taken a picture after the first spot appeared b/c now the ped says it is coincidental and that must be a birthmark . . . which she didn't have at birth and just happens to be exactly where she got her shots and appeared right after her shots. Hmmmm . . . .
