This is one of three linked duck ponds we visit on our walks. Supposedly, the story is that Hiram Chittendin (?),owned this land and built these ponds and locks back in the 1920's. The 3 ponds are on different levels connected by a live stream similar to the lock system at the Seattle Ballard Locks, were you can go view salmon runs.

Almost home! (oh my gosh . . . Olivia's hair is unaffected by the fog and marine layer setting in but not mine!)

Sunset over Puget Sound from Water street. . . also part of our walks.

This is the back side of one of the ponds and one of the houses' driveways that the ducks congregate around. Their are soooo many ducks! But oddly, they all fly the coup down to Seattle right at sunset everyday return again the next morning.

Beautiful fall dahlia's in bloom.
