Eliz and Steve

I need to get to bed, but for a quick update on Olivia I will type out some stuff for now.
She has been busy! She has taken her first tiny tentative steps, I'd say a few times. She is very comfortable crawling and boy is she fast! This morning, she found one of Steve's socks on the floor, and I told her what it was and where Dada wears it (on what body part), then she takes off. She quickly crawls down the hall to the bathroom (where Dada was) and knocks on the door, squealing "Dada, dada!" like I taught her (the squealing, which is more like yelling, part; she learned the Dada part on her own). She keeps at it until Dada comes out then she lays the sock on her Dada's foot! I didn't need to prompt her or encourage her, she was sooo excited! She knows whose foot is whose! (Is that the proper grammar??? duh)

She loves walking with her "walkers" too. She now has the hungry hippo from Fisher price and loves it just as much as her mickey mouse hand me down. She switches back and forth between them both.

Olivia's 6th tooth just broke through this past week and the 7th one looks like it is right on it's heels. I just saw it today and it seems to be coming in faster than # 6. The teething doesn't seem to bother her too much but that might be what is disrupting her naps. She is all off schedule and I am thinking it's time to take advantage of that and change her schedule a little. Wish me luck b/c she is a sensitive sleeper.

Most of July seems to have been spent with her being sick. Her ped said she had several virus (what's plural for virus?????? quick someone look it up while I go to bed) back to back as well as her first ear infection and a whole body rash at the same time. Oh and the teething. She was miserable on and off most of July. My poor little baby. She regressed in most areas during this time. It was weird but from what I understand pretty typical. She also didn't have much strength which was really hard for me to handle mentally and emotionally. She didn't eat much either so I don't think she gained any weight and might have lost some. She was 18 lbs at the beginning of July. She is back in the groove now and her appetite is back, praise the Lord.

She'll be ONE on August 13th! I can't believe it! Everyday she is more and more like a toddler, but then I look at her and she is still my little baby and always will be.

Well, off to bed I go! I'll get around to some pics and flicks soon I hope.
XOXOXOXOX to all

So sorry she was sick. So typical of a toddler not to eat with all the sickness and teething. She will regain skills with a mom and dad like you guys! Thanks for the wonderful videos too! You look so happy! Beth
